CPS Firefighter Examination

There are many steps in the application and hiring process as the formal procedure. Each has to be achieved by the applicant to fully get the position. Likewise, in getting the firefighter position, there are qualifications that are strongly required so that each of the firefighters will be equipped and skillful enough to face such life-risking incidents. The job of a firefighter is not a joke, it is life-sacrificing duty wherein life is always in the risk in every emergency or fire incidents. This is a rewarding job for the firefighter itself and for their family as well, but they will always have to feel a breath-taking moment if there is an emergency. So, choosing the fit and qualified firefighter has to be done with an organized process in a hiring and application procedure. The CPS firefighter test is an entry-level examination for the aspiring firefighters. This CPS firefighter examination is the step level where an applicant is good for the firefighting job.

This CPS firefighter examination is a written exam in a multiple-choice question type and its typical limit of time is only two hours. So, done or not yet done, they have to present their papers to their proctor once they reached the limit. The firefighter examinations cover the understanding of oral information and directions.  It is an important part of the examination where there is a recorded passage and test-takers have to listen to it, then answer the question based on what they heard. The basic knowledge of simple mechanical tools such as levers and pulley and understanding how these simple mechanical tools can help in a fire scenario which is a scenario that a firefighter has always attended, it also included the physics principles about energy, power, force, and resistance. Other questions section is about numerical skills which is always been part of every examination. This is where the applicant is being measured by its capability to do the basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as the fraction and percentages. There is also interpreting and explaining maps, charts, and diagrams, it requires an analytical way of thinking by viewing and understanding the images with the information provided in the examination. And finally, a firefighter has to work with a good relationship on a team, public, and community. It was required that each aspiring firefighter build up good relations in the group or team, in the public as they will be a public servant and for the community as well. As firefighter protects and saves lives, the relations and good communication is the best way to let people calm from the incidents while in a critical situation or during an emergency. Practicing with the mock test of CPS examination will help the applicant surpasses the nerve-cracking exam and will help them know what to expect in the examination day.
